Alexander began playing tennis at age 2 with his father Stanislav. His favourite surface is hard and grass court, shot is serve. Alexander’s team is made of his coach Artem Suprunov, his physiotherapist Juan Luis Marques, working in synergy to support him. Alexander turned professional in 2016 and debuted in Top 200, Top 150 and Top 100 in 2017. He reached his career high ranking no. 25 in the world in July 2023 after winning his maiden ATP 500 Tour title in Halle on grass. En route to the title, he beat two Top 20 and two Top 10 players.
